Guest speaker, Michael Lazarus, on "The Individual, Capitalism and Empire: Robinson Crusoe in Social and Political Thought”. 

Michael Lazarus is the author of Absolute Ethical Life: Aristotle, Hegel and Marx (Stanford University Press, 2025; forthcoming). He is Alfred Deakin Postdoctoral Fellow at Deakin University and a Visiting Postdoctoral Fellow at Yale University.
