Group Fitness Classes 

The StFX Fitness Centre offers drop-in group fitness classes such as HIIT circuits, spin classes, yoga, and more. Drop-in group fitness classes are included in your Fitness Centre membership.

HIIT w/ Heidi

Come start your morning off the right way with a full-body HITT workout designed to make you sweat and feel upbeat!

Monday & Wednesday | 7:45am - 8:45am

Full Body Burn

This beginner/intermediate friendly class will include sequences of both cardio and strength exercises to target all muscle groups. A combination of bodyweight and dumbbell exercises will have you feeling energized and help beat those Monday blues!

Tone Zone

Join us for a class focused on full-body strength training, perfect for all fitness levels! Whether you're new to working out or a seasoned pro, this class offers a range of exercises designed to build muscle, enhance endurance, and help you achieve your strength goals.

Pump Up 

This Cardio and Strength class is an exciting mix of strength, balance, and core exercises, with a fun cardio twist. The variety of exercises will leave you feeling all around powerful. All skill levels are welcome, get ready to sweat and have some fun!

Strength & Stretch

A full-body workout designed to help improve strength, range of motion and mental clarity. Look forward to an extended cool down and restorative stretching at the end of this class. Dumbbells or kettlebells and a mat for equipment. All fitness levels welcome and beginner friendly!

Mobility & Wellness
Beginners Yoga

This yoga class is good for learning and reviewing classic yoga postures. It balances strengthening with stretching and relaxation. Excellent for getting back into your practice or recovering from an injury.

Yin Yoga

Yin is the quieter side of yoga and is for all levels. Poses are held for several minutes and are done either seated or laying down. Yin allows the body to sense and release. Let go of everything; all the tension, all the tightness, and melt into a long-held yin pose. Your body, mind and heart will thank you.

Ride Along

Join Anna & Noah for a fun and engaging Ride Along spin workout, perfect for beginner-intermediate spinners looking for a mix of moderate and intense intervals.   • Book at the front desk. Visit one of the staff members located at the Fitness Centre or Amelia Saputo Centre to register in-person.

CANCELLATION POLICY

If you cannot attend a pre-booked class, please ensure you cancel your booking to allow others to enjoy the class!

  • Cancel your booking up to 2 hours in advance using the Self-Service Portal
  • Cancel your booking with a Guest Services staff member in-person, or via email at @email (a confirmation email will be sent back)

  • Before attending a class, please read through the "Get active questionnaire" to see if you should consult a doctor before participating.
  • No admittance to group fitness classes once class begins
  • No outdoor footwear permitted in the studio
  • Pre-registration required (SELF-SERVICE PORTAL - ONLINE BOOKING)
  • Current capacity for fitness classes = 15-20
  • Group fitness classes will not run on Stat/Civic holidays

HOW TO REGISTER

  1. Complete the Intake Form and contact us
    Please email @email to request an intake form. After you've completed this and sent it back, we will assign you a personal trainer who will contact you for your initial consultation.
  2. Consultation with a Trainer
    This phase is where your program will be specifically built for you through physical assessment and information gathering. Your trainer will ask in-depth questions about your fitness goals, exercise background, and take physical measurements through various movement patterns as well as using the In-Body Machine.
  3. Choose your Package
    At the end of your consultation, you can discuss your package options with your trainer. Based on the information your trainer gathers, a program will be to best suit your desired goals.

Fee-Based Programs

Join one of our many amazing instructors as they teach you new skills in our kettlebell program, or learn the foundations of compound exercises: deadlift, bench press, and squat. Sign-up today for one of our 4-6 week fitness programs. Receive a 20% discount on programs included in your deluxe and Fitness Centre membership.

Program Descriptions
ChairFIT yoga
A gentle form of yoga & fitness practiced while sitting or standing using the chair for support as well as using other props. This style works best for people who have various physical limitations or those who find other types of yoga too challenging. All levels welcome. Participant will enjoy the benefits of stretching, muscle toning, breathing exercises and best of all “laughter” which is the best medicine of all times.

Cardio Combat

Cardio Combat is an MMA inspired workout where you will punch and kick your way through a Total-Body workout.  This low-impact, high-energy workout will improve your overall fitness and shape your shoulders, core, and legs as you burn heaps of calories. Great if your goal is weight loss or general fitness. You’ll feel Empowered, Energized and Fighting Fit!  This is an intermediate class, however if you’re a beginner, there are lots of options and modifications so that you can work at your own level.
