Maureen Coady
Dr. Coady received a Bachelor of Arts (BA) in 1976 and a Master of Adult Education (MAdEd) from Saint Francis Xavier University in 1992. Her MAdEd research focused on strategies for supporting and retaining women’s participation in part-time distance education programs (i.e. STFX’s Post RN BScN program). In 2007, she completed a PhD in Adult Education Research at the University of Nottingham in the UK, focused on community engagement in health planning and health volunteerism. She is interested in the links between health and learning, and the role adult education can play in enabling citizens to learn their way towards better health.
