Seven teams of first and second year Gerald Schwartz School of Business students combined business analysis with community impact Oct. 29, 2025 at the 4th Annual Schwartz International Business Case Competition hosted by Dr. Mark Fuller and the BSAD 353: Cases in International Business class.
Over the course of the afternoon event, participants delivered eight minute case presentations followed by rigorous Q&A sessions before a faculty panel of Dean of Business Dr. Lisa Watson and faculty members Dr. Neil Maltby, and Prof. Jane Fraser. In addition to competing for top honours, the teams collected 642 food items weighing 470 kg for Kevin’s Corner, the StFX Food Bank.
The winning teams were:
• First: Mench Moraleta, Alyssa Young, Theodore Gingras
• Second: Kristen Dorney, Lucy Harland, Clare Connors
• Third: Parker Evans, Oliver Appt, Nolan Daly
“This competition showcases how early career students can think globally while acting locally,” said Dr. Fuller. “The case analysis was impressive, and the food drive turnout speaks volumes about their commitment to the community.”
All donations will directly support StFX students facing food insecurity through Kevin’s Corner.
