Students from Changzhou University in China who are currently studying at StFX recently had a chance to get together for a potluck dinner organized by a group of StFX business and political science faculty and students. The dinner also brought together StFX student and faculty participants who took part in last spring's study in China opportunity hosted by Changzhou University.
Participants said the evening was a great chance to reconnect. The Canadian students took the opportunity to share some memorable experiences during their visit to China. It was also an opportunity for the StFX group to show their appreciation for the work of Changzhou University and StFX representatives who helped organize the study opportunity.
At the gathering, students also offered ideas on how to make the 2013 spring study opportunity to Changzhou University a success. This year’s program will take place between May 9 and June 7, 2013. Drs. Denton Anthony, from the Schwartz School of Business, and Jonathan Rosborough of the Department of Economics, will accompany this year's student group and teach business and economics courses to Changzhou students who will eventually come to StFX to complete a StFX degree.
The study opportunity is being organized through the International Exchange Office. Any interested students can contact the International Exchange coordinator, Brenda Riley (@email) to find out more about how to participate.
