You are warmly welcome to join the Montreal Steppers for phase two of their Step and Speak Series - The Community Showcase. The Montreal Steppers team returns to Antigonish for their second facilitation of stepping workshops, writing and storytelling which will lead to a free culminating event on Saturday, March 28th 2026, from 6:30pm - 8:30pm highlighting the outcomes of the initiative and presentations from the youth participants. The event will take place at the Immaculata Hall at StFX Campus Room 114.

The Step & Speak Youth Initiative fuses the art form of stepping with storytelling and spoken word. It is an intentional focus on the body to create, make noise, and call on the power of collective music! Woven into this artistic journey is an exploration of black history, movement, and an awareness of how black bodies instinctively resisted, thus creating revolutions for all.
