**Please review these instructions before using the form below. Note that per the Collective Agreement, Applications for URPA shall be made to the appropriate Dean, at the Faculty members initiative, by April 15 of each Academic Year.

Please submit your URPA (University Research and Publication Awards) application as a single file. Please include a cover letter and submit by the deadline specified in the Collective Agreement (ARTICLE 2.7.1). Your cover letter should ALSO state the criteria upon which the application is based (see clause 6.0 of the Collective Agreement. Attach relevant supporting documentation within the same single file.

Please also ensure you: 

  • check the box next to 'Send me an email receipt of my responses' to confirm that your application has been successfully submitted
  • CLICK THE SUBMIT button after uploading your application. 

To confirm that your application has been successfully submitted, check for a 'thank you' message in your email inbox. If you do not receive that message (please double check your junk/spam folder), please contact the Office of the Dean of Arts.

Annual Report of Activities

**Please note that Annual Report of Activities is due November 30th of each year. This MUST be submitted using the form and the submission process below.

Per the collective agreement;

5.0 Annual Report of Activities – Faculty members 

5.1 Annual reports are for formative and reporting purposes only. With respect to evaluation for tenure and promotion, the reports may be used only at the request of the Member being evaluated. 

5.2 Each Faculty member who was employed by the University in the previous Academic Year shall submit an electronic copy of an Annual Report of activities to their Dean by November 30 of each year. The Dean shall forward a copy of all Annual Reports for their faculty to the Academic Vice-President & Provost by December 15. 

5.3 The material listed under Scholarship, above, may be abstracted and compiled by the Academic Vice-President & Provost, or the Academic Vice-President & Provost’s confidential delegate, to prepare statistical and aggregate data for reporting purposes to internal and external bodies and agencies. 

5.4 Faculty members have the option to make the items listed under the Scholarship section of their Annual Reports available to the Associate Vice-President, Research and Graduate Studies, for inclusion in an annual report on StFX research, scholarship, and creative works that will be made accessible to the public.

5.5 A Faculty member applying for tenure and promotion will not be required to submit an annual report in the year of application. Information from the member’s dossier may be used pursuant to Clauses 5.3 and 5.4 above. 

5.6 The Annual Report shall include a statement of activities for the previous September 1 to August 31 period.
