New Student Registration: Nursing

There are no first-year nursing courses. All first-year courses for the Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree are non-nursing courses. Students in the program take their first nursing courses in year two of the program.

Core courses are not open to students outside of the program. However, non-nursing students are permitted to take NURS 364 (Social Justice and Health) and/or NURS 365 (Gender and Health) in the third or fourth years of their respective programs. Note that these two courses are also cross-listed as WMGS (Women’s and Gender Studies) courses. For more information, see the Academic Calendar.

StFX is located in Mi’kma’ki, the unceded ancestral territory of the Mi'kmaw people. The Mi'kmaw name for Antigonish is Nalikitquniejk, meaning ‘place where branches are torn off.’
