Shari Livingston
Shari Livingston has been a Nurse Educator at the St. Francis Xavier University, Rankin School of Nursing since 2005. She first obtained her Diploma in Nursing at the Aberdeen Hospital School of Nursing in 1991. She then went on to further her education and received her BScN in 1996 and her Master of Adult Education in 2022, both at St. Francis Xavier University. Her Master’s research focused on the outcomes of community health clinical placements in undergraduate nursing through the reflections of newly graduated Registered Nurses.
Shari’s experience in nursing includes orthopedic surgery, medicine, long-term care and community-based nursing. As a Nurse Educator at the Rankin School of Nursing, Shari has primarily worked with students in clinical practicum experiences, skills labs, and simulation labs. Throughout her career, she has committed to enhancing her knowledge base through regular continuing education. In 2024, she successfully achieved Canadian Certification as a Simulation Nurse Educator.
