Integrated Communication Plan

The Being Xaverian campaign launched in 2021 continues to promote and educate our students with this year’s focus on community expectations, contributing to a better community – inside and outside the classroom. The Xaverian community is a community that cares, not only about the success of oneself but also the success of one another. This work parallels and reinforces the work of the President’s Action Committee on Anti-Racism (PACAR). This messaging is delivered through traditional visual messaging and social media as well reinforced through formal memos to students, the StFX Go App, and Family and Friends specific communication. The approach is integrated into StFX programming that emphasize student support systems and positive citizenship such as the Xaverian Welcome

The L'nu symbol. L’nu is a word the Mi’kmaq use to describe themselves, meaning “human being” or “the people.”

StFX is located in Mi’kma’ki, the unceded ancestral territory of the Mi'kmaw people. The Mi'kmaw name for Antigonish is Nalikitquniejk, meaning ‘place where branches are torn off.’
