In February 2024, a tentative agreement was reached between the University and the Nova Scotia Government and General Employees Union (the NSGEU). We are pleased to announce that both the NSGEU and the StFX Board of Governors have ratified the tentative agreement. Additional information on the new collective agreement, which will be in place until June 30, 2026, will be available shortly.
The University and the NSGEU Local 88 Executive would like to thank the members of both bargaining teams for their work in reaching this agreement.

In late December 2023, a tentative agreement was reached between the University and the St. Francis Xavier Association of University Teachers (the StFXAUT). We are pleased to announce that both the StFXAUT and the StFX Board of Governors have ratified the tentative agreement. Additional information on the new collective agreement, which will be in place until June 30, 2026, will be available shortly.
The University and the StFXAUT would like to thank the members of both bargaining teams for their work in reaching this agreement.
The StFXAUT represents the University’s faculty (including part-time academic instructors), librarians, laboratory instructors, learning skills instructors, nurse educators, Coady Institute program staff and dietetic educators.
