  Cross-Departmental Research Centre for Economic and social policy based at the University of British Columbia. 

Data & Economic Resources

• National Bureau of Economic Research (NBER):
  This website contains economic research by the most influential economists today and some public-use datasets. 
• Panel Study of Income Dynamics (PSID):
  This is a longitudinal survey of 8000 families since 1968. It now includes a Child Development Supplement Dataset (CDS). 
• Integrated Public Use Sample (IPUMS):
  The main datasets available are decennial census data of the United States, IPUMS-USA. There is a new extension which includes census data of other nations, IPUMS-International. The dataset is maintained by the Minnesota Population Center at The University of Minnesota.   
• Demographic and Health Surveys (DHS):
  Health Data from several developing nations may be obtained here. 
• Current Population Survey (CPS):
  This is a monthly survey of about 50,000 households conducted by the Bureau of the Census for the Bureau of Labor Statistics of the United States. 
• National Longitudinal Survey (NLS):
  There are several Longitudinal Surveys available here. Maintained by the U.S. Department of Labor, Bureau of Labor Statistics. 
• Federal Reserve Economic Data (FRED):
  A convenient online database that contains millions of economic time series for many countries.
